yeah yeah, we all need to eat but in hollywood remember, film makers don't get the kind of creative freedom that is needed in cheesy popcorn trash. but these days, independent is no longer just the anti-establishment thing, more like an alternative to hollywood with also, the established modes of everything. the difference between hollywood and indie? money.
by the way...underground films in my part of the world (which is not the UK) has almost become non existent. hardly anyone puts up any underground screenings because they think it'd be more profiteering to do music video clips. HMMM food for thought...

Then before you get too tired and cynical about it, perhaps you should revive the scene yourself?
Or if you cant be arsed then why should anyone else?
Sounds like where you live is crying out for some angry punk moviemaker to shake em up a bit.

frankly, i'd love to revive the underground scene but i don't have the man power to do so. i am a full time student with my weekends being taken up by a part time job which doesn't leave me much time to do very much let alone organise a group screening.
